AQUA BLU is a 60-meter luxury expedition superyacht originally built in 1968 as a British Naval Explorer HMS Beagle and in 2006 converted into an elegant private yacht. She underwent significant refurbishments in 2017 and was launched in Indonesia in late 2019. AQUA BLU offers luxurious cruising in the Indonesian archipelago. With an impressive 30-guest capacity and stunning outdoor lounge space, she is the perfect base from which to discover these idyllic islands.
DESTINATIONS
AQUA BLU cruises in western Indonesia during the summer months, including Bali, Sumbawa and Komodo National Park, before heading east to Raja Ampat during the winter months, via the Alor archipelago and the Spice Islands.
ACCOMMODATION & DECK AREAS
AQUA BLU's interior layout can comfortably accommodate up to 30 guests overnight in 15 en-suite staterooms. Each of the 15 individually-designed suites is an oasis on the vast East Indonesian seas. Conceptualised with modern luxury and ultimate comfort in mind by renowned Dutch yacht designer Cor D. Rover, these private sanctuaries lend a luxurious sense of home to every journey on board.
Spread across five decks, AQUA BLU perfects the concept of a modern explorer yacht with generously sized and inviting indoor and outdoor social spaces. Aqua Blu’s main salon is perfect to relax and socialise or for use as one large open space for entertaining. The library and television room are situated on the upper deck, complete with the sky lounge bar which opens up onto a sheltered veranda through automatic glass doors and the massage room.
The bridge deck features key amenities such as the outdoor jacuzzi and lounge beds, as well as an indoor spa and outdoor work out zone. An ideal place for a retreat any time of day, the forecastle deck features the Sky Lounge Bar, ideal for kicking back with a cocktail or your drink of choice, as well as a cozy library and TV room. Meals may be served in the spacious alfresco dining and seating area.
PERFORMANCE
Quadruple Lister Blackstone engines each producing 660 HP produce a top speed of 12 knots with a cruising speed of 10 knots.
EQUIPMENT
Besides being equipped with state of the art leisure and entertainment facilities, AQUA BLU features an on-deck jacuzzi for her guests and a gym and spa on the bridge deck.
TENDER & TOYS
AQUA BLU’s toys and tenders include scuba diving equipment, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, fishing gear, and a selection of RIBs. Her multi-lingual crew of 25 feature a cruise director, dive instructor and highly experienced dive guides, an on board paramedic, and several qualified English-speaking guides for the many onshore excursions that make charters on AQUA BLU so special.
