Description
Built in 2018 by Maiora — one of Italy’s leading performance yacht builders — SANDS is a 35.7-metre luxury charter yacht offering a fast, refined Italian base for exploring the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Sardinia, and the Aeolian Islands.
Accommodation: 6 Staterooms for 12 Guests
The SANDS yacht accommodates 12 guests across six en-suite staterooms: a full-beam master suite on the main deck, two VIP staterooms also on the main deck, plus two convertible doubles and two twin cabins on the lower deck. The two convertible lower-deck cabins can be arranged as twins or doubles depending on the group’s needs, making SANDS a flexible choice for couples, families, and mixed groups alike.
With a sleek GRP hull and a 35.7-metre length, SANDS carries the clean lines that have made the Maiora range a benchmark in Italian motor yacht design. Her beam delivers light-filled interiors and generous social spaces across all decks, without the bulk of a larger vessel.
Onboard Amenities & Entertainment
SANDS is designed for guests who want speed, style, and a well-equipped base for Italian coastal days. Her twin MTU 2,600hp engines give a cruising speed of 15 knots and a top speed of 24 knots — enough to cover the distances between Positano, Capri, and the Aeolian Islands without losing time on each charter day. An advanced stabilisation system reduces roll both underway and at anchor, keeping comfort high even in open water.
The flybridge is one of the most social areas on board, with a bar and open lounge that works well for aperitivi as the light changes over the water. The main aft deck connects smoothly to the interior salon and dining area. The water toy collection includes two Seabobs, paddleboards, waterskis, wakeboard, and snorkelling gear — enough to keep the days between anchorages active and varied.
Charter SANDS Yacht: Destinations & Sample Itinerary
The SANDS yacht is based in Italy, making it a natural starting point for some of the Mediterranean’s most celebrated coastal routes. The charter typically opens in Naples, where the city energy and historic waterfront set the tone for the week. From the flybridge at anchor in the Gulf of Naples, the route for the days ahead takes shape over dinner on board.
The first full day belongs to Capri, where SANDS can anchor near the Faraglioni and give guests tender access to the island’s coves, cafés, and Marine Reserve. SANDS’ speed keeps the morning passage short, leaving the entire day for the island.
From Capri, the route moves along the Amalfi Coast — Positano, Praiano, Ravello, and Amalfi — where the yacht’s tender access and coastal pace gives guests the best of the shoreline without commitment to a single harbour. Mornings at anchor in quiet coves, afternoons exploring the vertical streets and ceramic shops of the towns.
Moving south, the itinerary can extend to the Aeolian Islands — Stromboli, Panarea, Filicudi, Salina — where volcanic scenery and clear water offer a striking contrast to the Amalfi bustle. The finale typically unfolds around Sardinia and the La Maddalena Archipelago, with its hidden coves and pristine anchorages, before the yacht repositions westward for the next charter.
