Introduction

Black Sails is undoubtedly one of the finest high-performance sailing yachts available for purchase today, she boasts a unique and iconic all-black exterior with stylish carbon fibre detailing. Originally launched by Wally Yachts in 2009, she features naval architecture by Javier Soto Acebal with exterior styling by Amanda Levete.

As well as delivering terrific sailing performance, Black Sails is also ideal for relaxing on deck and entertaining guests. Her open deck layout makes good use of her 40-metre length, while a smart awning system shelters this entire area from the elements when needed. Her open transom is a veritable terrace on the sea, with easy access to the water via the bathing platform.

One of the most striking elements of Black Sails is her free-standing main deck seating and dining furniture. When situated on deck, this provides an exclusive spot for hosting small groups, and it can be completely removed for hosting larger groups or for racing in regattas.

With such a strong racing pedigree, it is only to be expected that Black Sails boasts some of the finest sailing equipment on the market. Her super-high modulus rig and boom were created by Hall Spars, while the EC6 carbon standing rigging and impressive North Sails inventory mean she can be easily transformed from a luxurious cruising yacht into a high-performance regatta racer.

Black Sails offers an interior which has been fitted out to an impeccable standard. Her first refit at German yard Lürssen was carried out in collaboration with Harrison Eidsgaard Design and won her the 2011 World Superyacht Award for Best Refit. She has been kept in an immaculate condition ever since with a second refit at Hinckley Yachts in 2013. Staffed by a crew of five people, Black Sails promises a world-class superyacht service for up to 11 guests in up to 4 cabins.

Black Sails has been meticulously maintained throughout her life and under her current ownership receives significant upgrades every winter. She presents in immaculate condition throughout and is turn-key for her new owner.
